Panorama Road, Sandbanks

Designed for a client with a clear idea of what he and his family sought to achieve.

Set in a shore-side site with significant level changes, the appearance to Poole Harbour was, of necessity, two

storey. The main garden access is a level below with the appearance of a more substantial building designed

around a sunken courtyard.

The harbour orientation is to the north and the placement of windows and balconies was designed to take

advantage of both the views and sunlight whilst maintaining a reasonable degree of privacy.

The house is of timber / steel frame construction, over four storeys, on a masonry base with a slate roof. The

choice of style was suggested by the client and suggests a blend of appropriate maritime details from North

America.

Trinity prides itself on not following a “one style fits all” design philosophy, as past projects will prove. This allows the flexibility when preparing solutions for ever increasingly difficult sites.
