Greenslade Taylor Hunt were delighted to be back in the auction room for their May Land and Collective Property sale. A total of nine lots were offered following a couple of commercial lots having been sold prior to auction at Aldwick Estate, Redhill, Blagdon, Bristol.
The undoubted highlight of the day was Home Farm, Henlade, near Taunton, which saw concerted bidding both in the room and online. The eventual sale price was £327,000, far exceeding the auction guide of £250,000.
This delightful two-bedroom cottage was set in approximately three quarters of an acre together with an adaptable range of outbuildings. The property required modernisation throughout but allowed prospective purchasers an opportunity to modernise to their liking.
Auctioneer, Robert Baker said: “It was great to see several lots sell well. Home Farm far exceeded expectations with bidding coming in online and in the room and saw the hammer eventually fall at £327,000.”
Other sale highlights included 1.75 acres of land at Mark Causeway, Mark, which sold for £73,000, 2.81 acres of land and stables /arena for £132,000 and 1.04 acres of land at Dolemead Lane, Draycott, sell for £28,000.
The firm’s next property auction takes place at Sedgemoor Auction Centre, on Wednesday, June 17, from 2pm.
