About us

We are an innovative company specialising in the supply and development of high performance insulated foundations. We work collaboratively with clients of all sizes to develop foundation solutions suited to the requirements of each project.

Product Information

We believe that when an insulated raft or slab foundation supports a structure, the choice of materials is paramount. For this reason, we only use Extruded Polystyrene or Cellular Glass Insulation in our insulated raft system.

XPS Insulation

Extruded Polystyrene (or XPS) is one of the few insulation materials that is virtually waterproof due to its closed cell structure. It also has very high compressive strength and consistency of structural quality which is superior to other insulants. This makes it the ideal material for supporting large structural loads in potentially wet conditions.

Cellular Glass Insulation

Cellular or Foamed Glass Insulation is also a high strength and waterproof insulation. It is unique in the world of insulation as it is the only rigid insulation that is both fireproof and waterproof.

It is made primarily from recycled glass but the high cost of production keeps this as a very expensive insulation option.

Your foundation design will depend upon soil type, ground level, floor level, type of structure, thermal design, and the choice of external cladding.

We work with the architect and structural engineer to get the right design for your individual project with our infinitely adaptable system.

We have an unusual offering for those trying to reduce their Carbon Footprint - an insulated raft which is reinforced by post-tensioning (PT). The PT raft gives a concrete volume reduction of about 30% and also a huge reduction in reinforcing steel. The PT raft is in compression from the tensioned cables thus forming a very "stiff" structure ideal for expansive soils.
