MC Plan & Site Services Remain Fully Insured with Professional Indemnity Insurance by Griffith and Armour.
The last 12 months have seen a significant deterioration of the UK Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance market with a large number of insurers withdrawing and others seeking to reduce the amount of business they write. The knock-on effect of this is premiums increasing, significantly for some professions – including Approved Inspectors - and policy coverage being reduced.

Landlords would be hit with a Labour Government
Research made by the Financial Times concluded that the UK’s 2.6m landlords would face a moment of reckoning if Labour won the next general election after Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell said he wanted a “right to buy” scheme for private tenants as well as higher taxes on landlords.

What is a Restrictive Covenant?

A restrictive covenant is an agreement made by Deed between land owners which restricts the way land may be used and developed. It is usually imposed by the seller of the land who wishes to retain some control over what happens after the land is sold.Before you purchase a property with Restrictive Covenants you should make sure you are aware which ones have an expiry date (if any) and which run into infinity and whether there have been any breaches of the restrictions.

Changes to Right to Rent to ease queues at borders
ARLA Propertymark has met with the Home Office about Right to Rent in the context of three areas of concern.Advice from the Home Office remains: if someone can demonstrate they are legally present in the UK, they can pass a Right to Rent check. If their documents relate to List B Time Limited documents, a follow up check must be carried out within 12 months or before the expiry of the document (whichever is the later).

Pure Town Planning - Approved: four prior approval applications in Westbourne, Bournemouth

BCP Council: Matt Annen, Director of Pure Town Planning is pleased to have just received four prior approvals in respect of two Class O Prior Approvals (change of use of Office B1(a) to residential C3) and two Class PA Prior Approvals (change of use of Light industrial/Workshop B1(c) to residential C3 use) in Westbourne. The approved scheme delivers a conversion of two separate buildings into a total of 14 flats.
