At ICW, we pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our clients and our commitment to supporting the development of high quality new homes is at the heart of what we do.

If you choose ICW for your new home warranty, your ICW registration includes automatic membership of the ICW Consumer Code for New Homes

The ICW Consumer Code for New Homes is a well-established and Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) approved scheme that provides protection for homebuyers through the purchase of their new home, offering access to an independent dispute service provided by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR).

The ICW Consumer Code for New Homes ensures that homeowners:

  • Are treated fairly at all times;
  • Are given reliable information about their purchase;
  • Know what service levels to expect;
  • Know how to access the dispute resolution scheme; and
  • Know how to contact ICW for advice, should they need it.

You may be aware of another voluntary Consumer Code in the market, the New Homes Quality Code (NHQC) operated by the New Homes Quality Board (NHQB). This independent, voluntary code provides buyer redress through its own dedicated Ombudsman.

Membership of our code of practice is a requirement for our new home warranty service, however you can continue partnering with ICW even if you choose to become a member of the NHQB. There is no mandatory requirement to join NHQB.

If you would like to learn more about the ICW Consumer Code for New Homes or to find out about our new home warranties, please contact us today.
