Auctioneers Greenslade Taylor Hunt are delighted to report an excellent clearance rate at their latest property auction at Aldwick Estate, near Bristol.
A number of lots were sold prior to the auction, with seven lots going under the hammer – all bare agricultural land.
Some excellent prices were achieved far exceeding vendors’ expectations, with particular highlights being 4.25 acres of agricultural land at Churchill, North Somerset, which achieved £106,000 dwarfing its guide price of £70,000 and equating to almost £25,000 per acre.
Other highlights at the auction included 1.28 acres of land with planning consent for a stable block and equestrian use situated at Dundry on the outskirts of Bristol achieving £54,000.
Auctioneer, Robert Baker, said: “It was good to see some excellent prices achieved at auction once again and demonstrates that bare agricultural land prices are maintaining recent high levels, with strong local interest in all lots.
We had numerous bidders in the room, online and on the telephone which meant there was competitive bidding from start to finish.”
Greenslade Taylor Hunt are now looking forward to their next auction scheduled for Thursday, June 26, at The Shrubbery Hotel, Ilminster.
They are also inviting entries for the auction at Batch Country House, Lympsham, on Wednesday, July 23.
