Strong Demand for Arable Land

The agricultural department at our Yeovil office is excited to report a strong response to two substantial blocks of productive arable land recently brought to the market, which were available to let by Informal Tender. 

The ongoing demand for agricultural land in the region reflects the vitality of the farming community and the sustained interest in rural property across the West Country.

The first block of land was located on the outskirts of Martock and extended to 127 acres. The land was offered as a whole on a three year Farm Business Tenancy agreement. Following a six week marketing period, the land drew considerable attention from the local farming community with close to 20 tenders submitted by the deadline. 

Such interest not only highlights the desirability of this particular parcel but also underscores a broader trend in the West Country, where agricultural land is increasingly sought after for its productive potential.

The second block of land offered prospective tenants the opportunity to rent 284 acres of arable and pastureland located within the village of Stoke-sub-Hamdon, forming part of the Duchy of Cornwall Estate. The land was offered as a whole on an initial five year Farm Business Tenancy agreement. The level of interest demonstrates the strong demand for land of this quality and scale in the area.
