Sidney Phillips sell Historic Georgian House and successful independent Restaurant & Wine Bar in Bromsgrove

The two properties are set next door to each other, on a sought after location within a conservation area on the edge of the busy Bromsgrove town centre.

St John’s Wine Bar is an independent restaurant and wine bar set over two floors that has recently been refurbished, there is also excellent outside space incorporating a roof terrace and trade gardens.

There is scope for further development of the outside areas, and has quickly become one of the towns leading venues and is now a well-established and profitable business.

The property has been developed from the former stable block to the adjoining property being the Landmark building Steps House, a prominent Georgian Manor, which has also been sold by Sidney Phillips to the same purchaser.

Steps House is a historic Georgian Townhouse that has extensive accommodation over three floors, it has previously operated as offices but would suit a number of uses subject to relevant planning being obtained from the local authority.

The town of Bromsgrove resides in North Worcestershire, just thirteen miles South West of Birmingham City Centre. Bromsgrove has excellent communication links being just off the M5 and M42 motorways.

St. John’s Wine Bar and Steps House occupy a prominent location in the town centre with a pleasant conservation area just below the Church of St John the Baptist and opposite a new retail development which includes a Waitrose store and large car park.

Ceiron Griffiths BSc (Hons) who handled the sale commented: “The sale of two substantial properties such as St. Johns Wine Bar and Steps House proves that there is confidence in the leisure and hospitality market. We believe this demonstrates that buyers are active and willing invest in the right opportunity during this difficult period”.

“During March we recorded fifteen Leasehold and Freehold sales, we are seeing an increase in sales year on year and are noticing that there is a demand for potential purchasers to buy into the hospitality trade ahead of the summer ‘Staycation’ season”.
