Auctioneers Greenslade Taylor Hunt report another excellent success rate at their most recent property and land auction at Batch Country House, Lympsham.

A mix of land and commercial units went under the hammer.

Of particular note was an attractive single parcel of woodland extending to approximately 6.75 acres (2.73 hectares), comprising a mixture of mature and semi-mature deciduous trees.

Situated on the outskirts of the ever-popular Chew Valley and the village of Hinton Blewett, the woodland enjoys exceptional views of the surrounding countryside.

It sold for £106,000 – comfortably in excess of its pre-sale guide of £60,000.

Another single parcel of land, this time 7.18 acres (2.91 hectares) at Shepton Mallet sold for £104,000, while a larger block of farm land at Nailsea went for £324,000.

The auctioneers are delighted to report that the auction produced a 100% clearance rate on all the land with prices exceeding expectations.

The next similar auction will be at a new, but familiar venue – Sedgemoor Auction Centre, Junction 24, North Petherton.

This easy to access site is the home of the firm’s successful livestock and antiques sales. The property and land auction will take place there on Thursday, September 25.
