Auctioneer Justin Lowe of Greenslade Taylor Hunt reported an excellent gathering at the firm’s latest auction held online and at The Batch Country House Hotel, Lympsham.

A number of agricultural, potential development and redevelopment opportunities were offered, highlights of which included some buildings and land at Fordgate, near Bridgwater, comprising a range of agricultural buildings sat in approximately 0.5 acres and were being offered without any covenants or overage clauses and finally found a home at £59,000.

A further block of land and buildings near Axbridge, Moore Drove comprising 4.25 acres found a home after spirited bidding at £125,000. A further block of land at Chilton Trinity, Bridgwater, comprising 7.75 acres if pasture land went under the hammer at £55,000 and a further 23.4 acres of land nearby with planning consent to erect a building finally sold at £200,000. Two redevelopment opportunities at St John Street, Bridgwater, found separate buyers with the complete renovation opportunity selling at £63,000 and the investment opportunity selling opposite at £125,000.

Justin Lowe reported that there was a good crowd and considerable interest from internet and telephone bidders which allowed the auctioneers us to find market level for these properties.

Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s next auction will be conducted from 2pm on Thursday 21st April 2022 at the Shrubbery Hotel in Ilminster where a range of agricultural, residential, equestrian and development opportunities will be offered.
