Coversure Poole – Poole’s leading insurance brokers – celebrates its 5th anniversary this week by announcing exciting plans for 2020. Founded by local entrepreneur John Palmer in 2014, it is now one of the largest and fastest growing of Coversure’s 95 UK offices and was named ‘Broker of the Year’ at the 2019 Insurance Franchise Awards.

5 Years On: 9 Employees, 2 Offices and 2 National Award Wins

When John opened the office at 96 Ashley Road, it was as a sole trader. Thanks to his commitment to customer service and long-established connections with leading insurers, the business has thrived and now has 9 employees in total. In 2018 John acquired Coversure Weymouth and he has ambitions for further acquisitions and growth in 2020.

Commenting on the business’s anniversary and the rapid growth he and his team have achieved, John said:

‘Opening a brokerage was a long-held ambition of mine and doing so in Poole, my home town, made it all the more exciting. We’ve had a fantastic first five years and I’ve been able to build a great team who are all about our customers’ needs. The industry has seen huge changes and we’ve seen big name brands close offices as they go online-only. We’re here to stay, and I’m looking to expand further in 2020.’
