Colliers Mudathon – Unique Opportunity for Sector Charity Collaboration

The Colliers Mudathon returns for its ninth iteration this September – one of the commercial property industry’s most innovative charity events.

Last year more than 500 people battled the mud, muck and mires across an amphibious obstacle course in Dorking which has so far raised in excess of £100,000 for nominated charities since the inaugural event in 2015. This year a new course in Shenfield, Essex awaits, with even more demanding climbs and scrambles as well as a significant quantity of quagmires to overcome on the 5km course.

This year’s nominated charities are Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK, Prostate Cancer UK and men’s mental health campaign Two Pints Deep.

Nearly 3,000 participants have braved the claggy challenge since the event’s inception, taking on arduous obstacles testing endurance, strength and agility amid a relaxed festival-like atmosphere in the largest property mud run in the country.  

The ticket price of £85 for the event includes:

• Entry to the course, event T-shirt and finisher’s medal
• Car parking
• Hot drink van and water stations
• Action Photos
• Access to hot water washdown areas and heated changing tents
• Post race networking event with food, drink and live music
• Access to trained medical professionals

Associate Director Fay McEwan, Chair of Colliers’ charitable initiative Colliers Gives UK, said: “Mudathon has been a fantastic success so far but we’d like to extend the invitation for more to participate and make it even better. Last year we had teams from 41 firms and would like to provide other companies in the sector a chance for their people to get involved.

“This is a truly unique annual event in the commercial property calendar. It’s a chance to network in a totally different environment, a day of fun, challenge and connection as well as raising significant funds for charity.”
