title

A new lease of life could be on the cards for The Cider Works (formerly known as The High & Dry) which is situated on the west side of Sandwich Road (A256) close to the junction with Kennel Hill between Eastry and Whitfield. Prior to the fire damage in April 2018 it is understood that The Cider Works comprised a public house, shop, restaurant, two self-contained flats (one, one-bedroom and one two-bedroom) with separate access, and a cider processing combo.

Within the 0.73 hectare (1.82 acres) plot there is a car park, children’s playground, grassed area and paddock. The fire damaged building and site may offer potential for reinstatement or re-development with a residential, commercial or mixed use scheme, subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.

Planning Permission has been granted by Dover District Council, under ref: DOV/19/00031, dated 2nd May 2019, for the erection of five holiday chalets and formation of vehicular access, subject to conditions, with each unit comprising open plan living/kitchen/bedroom. Separate shower room with W.C plus a second bedroom.

It has a guide price of £390 -400,000 and is to be offered at the Clive Emson Conference Centre, Kent County Showground, Detling, Maidstone ME14 3JF on 12 June at 11am
