Description
The White Rock Hotel is a substantial 51- bedroomed hotel with an imposing façade overlooking the sea and only a 5 minute walk from Hastings town centre. The property has been owned and operated by our clients for the past 20 years and has continued to trade robustly throughout.
Location
The hotel occupies a very prominent location on Hastings seafront, next door to the town’s main theatre and music venue, and opposite Hastings Pier. Hastings is a popular destination for tourists and holidaymakers and boasts a rich cultural heritage, being particularly well known for the festivals and events that take place throughout the year, including Fat Tuesday (the country’s biggest Mardi Gras), the traditional Jack in the Green May Day festival and the stunning Hastings Bonfire torchlit procession and fireworks. The hotel is positioned on the edge of the town centre, exactly half-way between Hastings Old Town, famous for its bustling cafes and independent shops, beach landed fishing fleet, the Hastings Contemporary Art Gallery, and the steepest funicular lift of its kind in the UK, and trendy St Leonards on Sea, also a hub of independent cafés, bars and shops. The hotel sits at the heart of the White Rock area, which, alongside the theatre and pier, includes the Source Park underground BMX venue, which hosts one of the world’s most prestigious BMX events every September. Hastings is well connected to several modes of transport. By car, the town is easily accessible via the A21 to the north and A259 to the east and west. It also has two railway stations nearby, St Leonards Warrior Square and Hastings, both of which are in walking distance from the property and offer direct and regular services to London Bridge and London St Pancras via the Southern and Southeastern lines.
