The property is situated between the villages of Ilam and Thorpe, in the Peak District National Park, approximately five miles north west of the market town of Ashbourne. The hotel is adjacent to the River Dove and is located approximately 17 miles north west of Derby, 21 miles east of Stoke-on-Trent and 18 miles south of Buxton. The hotel is located in the Peak District National Park, which in the May-September season can attract approximately 500,000 visits a week. It is perfectly located to visit attractions such as Chatsworth House, Alton Towers and a whole variety of National Trust properties.
