Talsarnau sits on the main A496 between Maentwrog and Harlech with the nearby A487 offering links to Porthmadog and Pwllheli to the south and Caernarfon to the north. Talsarnau station serves the village and is on the Cambrian Coast Railway with services to Porthmadog, Barmouth and Shrewsbury.
