Location
The village of West Camel is located within the administrative area of Somerset Council (formerly South Somerset District Council (SSDC)). West Camel is approximately 10.5-kilometres (6.5-miles) to the north of Yeovil (via the A359) and approximately 11.1-kilometres (6.9-miles) to the north of Sherborne (via the B3148). The village has a range of facilities and amenities (including but not limited to): All Saints parish church, the Walnut Tree hotel, bar & restaurant, a playing field with children’s play area and a multi- purpose sports court and the Davis Hall, which hosts a wide variety of community events and societies. There are a network of footpaths around the village including the Leland Trail, which passes through the village.
