Location
The hostel is situated on raised elevations on the western side of the picturesque fishing village of Coverack, located on the Lizard Peninsula. The village is home to a beautiful beach, quaint harbour and many local businesses. The local area is a centre for water sports, particularly wind surfing, sailing and diving. The nearby rocks known as ‘the Manacles’ have been the site of many shipwrecks and as a consequence are now a favourite diving destination. The South West Coastal Path also runs through the village. Coverack is situated about 12 miles south east from the town of Helston which has a population of circa 11,000.
YHA Coverack occupies a Victorian country house that was previously a hotel has panoramic sea views overlooking Perprean Cove and Chynhalls Point. It is a detached three storey property with a pebble dash rendered finished under a pitched tiled roof. The plot size is approximately 1.1 acres.
