Located in South-West London our client is looking for vital member to join their finance team on a 6 month fixed-term contract to help continue to form strong bonds across the different departments. In this team your role will be doing a varied and you will not find yourself performing the same mundane tasks day in day out.

They are looking for a person to have an immediate impact and hit the ground running. It’s an exciting time to join the group and our client is constantly exploring new business opportunities to help scale and grow the business even more. Due to the growing nature of the business, there is a chance of this position being made permanent after the initial 6 month contact.

What does the role involve?

Something that stands out immediately is the different tasks that this role brings. Your day-to-day duties will be determined by the demands of the business needs; however, your main responsibilities will include the following:

  • Play a key role in process improvement to ensure consistent timely and accurate information provided.
  • Responsible for maintaining balance sheet reconciliations for portfolio entities.
  • Provide proactive support to ensure the correct reporting process is followed, consistent with the rest of the business.
  • Ability to quickly identify and understand the business strategy and provide relevant market insight to ensure efficiency.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial information required for input into the Board on a quarterly basis.

As the business is growing at a fast pace, they are looking for an individual with a proven track record of providing support to other business areas working closely with senior management teams.

Excellent interpersonal skills are an essential part of this position as well as having a keen eye for detail to liaise with clients and other business heads.

Qualifications and Experience

In terms of background, they are looking for somebody with the following prior experience:

  • Prior experience within a business partnering role is crucial
  • Real estate experience is vital for this position, ideally within commercial real estate
  • Exposure to comprehensive financial reporting.
  • Ability to build best practice when required to improve efficiency of company process
  • Qualified accountant is desirable, QBE would also be considered
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytic skills
