7 fantastic new homes

7 fantastic new homes will be built on helical piles at this site for Eastbourne Borough Council. Installing helical piles instead of traditional concrete foundations has saved over 223 tonnes of concrete - (the equivalent of 16 lorries worth!) - as well as embedded carbon, road miles and local disruption.

No digging, no excavation and no muck-away required, 71 piles will support the 7 two-storey houses. The piles are immediately ready for the next stage of building and are the first step in low impact building.
