Pure Town Planning- Approved: amended scheme of six houses in Bridport, Dorset

Dorset Council (West Dorset): Darryl Howells has assisted a client to obtain planning permission by way of a “Section 73 application” to vary an approval for a attractive terrace of 6 houses in Bridport that include projecting verandas above the adjacent waterway. The original consent was previously secured by the firm but the Section 73 application amends it by substituting amended drawings.

Pure Town Planning- Won on appeal: detached bungalow in Merley, Poole

BCP Council (formerly Borough of Poole): Darryl Howells has won an appeal for a new client, for the erection of a detached bungalow in Merley. The scheme was originally designed by Anders Roberts Cheer and handled by them, but refused on grounds of alleged harm to the character and appearance of the area, harm to the intended occupiers, and harm to occupiers of the dwelling to the north of the proposed bungalow.

Eastleigh Borough Council:  Darryl Howells, a director of the firm has secured a successful appeal for a challenging scheme located in the countryside, to the east of Southampton.  The applicant originally applied for the creation of a landscaped embankment; demolition of existing buildings and the creation of a new detached two-storey building comprising offices and storage areas, erection of a detached workshop and the change of use to display and caravan sales with associated office and workshop.
