The county’s finest were recognised on Wednesday when the Royal Berkshire Property Awards 2023 put the industry’s top achievers in the spotlight.

More than 230 people gathered at Reading Town Hall for the black-tie event hosted by former Royals legend and BBC Radio Berkshire presenter Ady Williams.

Judges met in September to go through the entries and draw up the shortlist which was published on September 11.

UK Property Forums managing director Matthew Battle said: “This is the first time we have put on awards in this format in Berkshire and we couldn’t have hoped for a better finale.

“It was a tremendous evening and will give us a great platform to continue this success next year.”

A game of heads and tails among guests raised more than £2,300 for Myocarditis UK, the charity of Jansons Property, before the awards were handed out.

As part of the association between UK Property Forums and the University of Reading, an award was made for the best final year undergraduate development and planning project at the Henley Business School.

Victor Nicholls, lecturer in development and planning at Henley Business School, presented the award to the winning team of students who has been tasked with devising, planning and costing a ‘real-world’ mixed-use redevelopment scheme in the Thames Valley.
