Unusual Defect - Loft Insulation

Whilst insulating your loft is important, applying it to the underside of the roof is poor practice. As there is no ventilation gap between the insulation and timbers the insulation may become damp and prevent any damp timbers from drying out, creating the ideal conditions for rot and decay.
