Taylor Wimpey Secures New Development Site in Berkshire

Colliers sell 4.5 acre agricultural site for the development of 54 houses.

An agricultural site between Bracknell and Wokingham has been bought by developer Taylor Wimpey in a deal agreed by commercial real estate firm Colliers, on behalf Danescroft.

The 4.5-acre site in London Road, Binfield, has planning permission secured for the development of 54 homes, it already has residential-led mixed developments close by and the town of Bracknell has recently undergone a £240million regeneration scheme. Major employers Waitrose, Fujitsu and Dell have significant office space in the town, which is just an hour away from London by train. 

David Peycke, Land & Planning Director at Taylor Wimpey West London commented: “We are really pleased to have acquired this site from Danescroft. We look forward to delivering the Coppid View development and are planning to start construction later this year.”  

James Trelfa, Director at Danescroft added: “We are pleased to have completed the sale of our interest at Binfield to Taylor Wimpey, which crystalises another successful business plan with our funding partner Fiera Real Estate. We are actively seeking unconditional land opportunities and have substantial funds in place to deploy.”

James Burke, director in the Colliers Residential Development team, said: “This site is well positioned in a location which is accessible for both those employed locally or by  London corporations. There has been significant regeneration in the area already and Taylor Wimpey’s plans will further enhance the area bringing more quality housing options for residents.”
