In the mid afternoon of Thursday, Shoothill received an email from Twitter announcing the verification of the Shoothill Twitter account.

Twitter verifies accounts that are ‘notable in government, news, entertainment or another designated category’. Shoothill have been running services such as FloodAlerts and GaugeMap since 2012, and more recently, PPE Exchange in 2020. These services have benefitted the public in times of crisis, making Shoothill a company of interest for many across the country.

Shoothill’s email from Twitter reads:

“We’ve got great news! We can officially confirm that you’re verified – you should now see the blue verified badge next to your Twitter name. As you know, a verified badge tells people that your account is notable and authentic.”

Ryan Lloyd, Digital Marketing Executive at Shoothill said: “This is a big step forward in the approach to taking Shoothill’s online presence to the next level. Users of FloodAlerts, GaugeMap, PPE Exchange will now know where exactly to get the latest accurate information. Being verified is also great for our reputation; any future clients will know at a glance that we are trustworthy as an organisation”.

Happy tweeting!
