British semiconductor maker Pragmatic Semiconductor has doubled its floorspace at Cambridge Science Park by taking an additional 12,500 sq ft.

Pragmatic has taken the space in Building 400 in the world-leading science and technology cluster where it already occupies 12,500 sq ft. The company has leased the space from Trinity College, Cambridge. Bidwells acted as agents for the deal on behalf of Trinity College.

The news follows Pragmatic’s December announcement it had secured £182 million funding, the largest amount ever raised in a European semiconductor venture funding round.

The company plans to build at least eight manufacturing lines over the next five years, creating over 500 highly skilled jobs across Oxford and Cambridge.
