Powells Sails Through ISO 9001 Audit

Despite the pandemonium and uncertainty in the world right now, here at Powells we are always striving for excellence in every area of our business. We are therefore proud to announce that earlier this month we have yet again passed our annual audit required to maintain our certification as an ISO 9001 registered company.
Not only do we hold ourselves to the highest standard whilst working on our many sites, the internal management systems we have in place overseen by all in the engine room here at our Andover HQ, makes sure we comply to the best practice for running a firm in the construction industry. To ensure the systems we have in place for our business to run effectively and to offer the best service to our clients, we decided back in January 2012 to become accredited with the ISO 9001 certification.
What is the ISO 9001?
The ISO 9001 is the International Organization for Standardization’s (ISO) own certification system for best practice in how a company is run and is an industry standard across the globe, with many of our clients requiring the certification when working with them. Throughout the process of gaining this accreditation, the ISO delves into the inner cogs of how your business is run through a series of internal audits required throughout the year and an external audit performed annually. This guarantees that we are conforming to Quality Management Principles set out by the ISO and shows that we’re running an ethically minded business that’s strongly customer focused with an aim to continually improve.
