On Your Masks, Get Ready, Go!

There have been a lot of talks between Government ministers and industry associations and stories of a host of proposed new rules around how the property market - both sales and lettings - will need to operate in the short- to medium-term.

This includes continued social distancing, which may mean that the landlord, estate agent, and tenants are required to step out of the property while a viewing takes place and the viewing will be restricted to no more than two adults at a time. There is also likely to be time limits with 15 minutes per viewing and surfaces will need to be disinfected and doors left open throughout the property before the viewing starts. There is also talk of adopting some level of basic PPE to protect the individuals involved.

Once finalised, it is expected that the private rented sector will be one of the first to be released from lockdown. Are you ready?
