Kelly Cartwright, owner of Core Recruiter has been crowned amongst the top 100 most influential women in her industry.

Kelly won the “Ally” category of the prestigious Top 100 Influential Women in Construction Awards, organised by the National Federation of Builders. The awards have been launched to showcase the incredible women in the construction industry and make female and non-binary role models more visible and accessible. The awards to place on Thursday, 27th October at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester.

Kelly is honoured to win the award for the Ally. NFB said that allies are important for several reasons. One crucial component involves using their influence to support inclusion and change.

“To receive this recognition upon a national level is truly incredible, we all know we need more diversity in the sector and evenings like this are so important to help recognise role models who can give the sector a different reputation, and showcase the amazing industry we are in, so they choose construction as a career.”

“Being in a male dominated industry, has its challenges but I have not only developed as a person, I know I have changed peoples lives over the last 12 years by telling my story. I want to inspire other young women to head into construction and to be recognised as one of the most influential women in our sector is just proof of that. As I always say, you can’t be, what you can’t see.

So here I am, doing it for all the other young women out there!”
