The Covid-19 pandemic is an unprecedented challenge. This will be a tough time for the property world, but we’re all in it together.

We are committed to supporting this incredibly resilient industry throughout this period and beyond.

PROPERTY PERSONNEL IS STILL HERE TO SUPPORT YOU

The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented challenge. There isn’t a sector or industry that’s unaffected, and it’s undoubtedly a worrying time for those of us in the property trade.

That’s why we want to let you know that Property Personnel is still here and ready to support you however we can. Like you, we are adjusting to new ways of living and working to protect our staff, which means we are operating with reduced capacity. But, by adapting, we can continue to bring property businesses and professionals together during this time, so that they are poised to carry the industry forward once this is behind us.

This will be a tough time for the property world, but we’re all in it together. We are committed to supporting this incredibly resilient industry throughout this period and beyond.

How we can help property professionals

While it’s true that many of the roles advertised on our website have been withdrawn, we are confident that there will be no shortage of jobs available once this time is behind us. We believe we may even see a surge in demand once homeowners can once again put their buying and selling plans in motion.

If you are looking for a job in the property industry, now is the time to register with us. With your details and what you’re looking for on file, you’ll be amongst the first to know when new roles become available. As the leading recruitment consultants for the property sector, we’ll do all we can to limit the duration of your job search.

And, thanks to technology, there are still ways jobseekers can connect with potential employers. We are encouraging property businesses in need of extra resource to consider telephone screening and video interviews via web conferencing tools, so that new employees can be ready to start as soon as possible. Scroll down for a list of our favourite video conferencing apps.

How we can help property businesses

We understand that many businesses are having to downsize operations right now, which is never an easy task. This situation will pass though, and we want your business to be ready to respond to the upturn in the property market when it comes.

If your business has a current role to fill, or will do once the pandemic ends, please don’t hesitate to let us help. We are calling for property professionals looking for new opportunities to register with us during this time, so that we can alert them to roles as soon as they’re made available.

And, even without face to face meetings, we can still search for and screen the potential employees and help you set up remote interviews via video conferencing – see below for a list of our favourite web conferencing tools.

What estate agencies can do during this time

If your estate agency is still operating at this time, it’s vital to make this known. We recommend using your website and social channels to show buyers and sellers that you’re still open.

Demonstrate to homeowners that video conferencing tools can be used for viewings and encourage those looking to buy or sell to register their interest with you now. This way, you can keep them informed of new properties the moment the market starts to recover.

Our recommended web conferencing tools

One thing that’s become clear in recent weeks is the superb capabilities of web conferencing tools and apps. These platforms have been around for a while, but it’s fair to say that right now they are proving indispensable. Here are some of the best:

Zoom – This platform lets you host unlimited one to one video meetings and group meetings for up to 100 participants, plus there’s nothing to download in order to join a meeting. There is a time limit of 40 minutes on group meetings with the free package.

Google Meet – You don’t need a Google account to attend a Meet video call hosted by someone else, although an existing user may need to admit you. Meeting hosts will need a Google account to set up new video calls, but it works alongside the Google Calendar, which is great for scheduling meetings in advance.

Pow Wow Now – With a PIN to access the free web conference calling app, this platform enables unlimited meeting guests to chat for as long as they need to, plus it’s good for screen sharing.
