Coles Miller Dream Machines 2019 ended on a high with an epic season finale on Poole Quay.

The final Dream Machines night of the season was marked by the hotly contested Bike of the Year competition sponsored by Coles Miller Solicitors.

Open to winners of the Bike of the Night heats during 2019, the finale saw 14 of the weekly winning riders brave the weather to compete.

During the evening, voting cards were handed out to dedicated fellow bikers, spectators and enthusiasts who chose their favourite bike in the line-up. To help the crowd, each owner provided information about their competing bike, giving details of its history and unique features.

  • First place went to Dave Northern with his 1956 Triumph. Chosen by the public, Dave won £300, the Midge Holloway Trophy and an ultimate motorcycle care kit courtesy of Muc-Off. Dave said: “I am absolutely delighted. There were some lovely bikes to choose from and it was a real surprise to win. The Triumph is a fantastic classic and I am really proud to own and ride it.”
  • Second place – Philip Baker with his Indian Scout. He won £200 and a Muc-Off ultimate motorcycle care kit.
  • Third place – Richard Stephens with his BSA Super Rocket. He won £100 and a race cleaning kit from Muc-Off.

Coles Miller Solicitors Partner Adrian Cormack said: “We’re keen supporters of tourism and events in Poole – it has been fantastic to be back as part of the Dream Machines family.

“Bike of the Year is always a fabulous event. Massive congratulations to the worthy winners and huge thanks to everyone who takes part – they create truly superb displays every week.”

Organised by BCP Tourism, Coles Miller Dream Machines is part of Wave 105 Summertime in the South, Poole’s summer events programme.

Poole Dream Machines will return on the first Tuesday in April 2020.
