Newbridge-on-Wye stands in the upper Wye Valley almost equidistant between the three market towns of Builth Wells (famed for its showground), Rhayader and Llandrindod Wells. At its very heart on the main High Street is the Golden Lion which is a corner sited stone built property, Grade II listed dating back to the late 19th Century. It holds an elevated located, boasting two attractive bar and restaurant areas, as well as spacious four bedroom owners accommodation and external trading area.

Having also recently let the property on behalf of the freehold owners, this sale demonstrates the demand for public houses in the current market remains buoyant.

Robin Mence, Managing Director of Sidney Phillips handled the letting and commented “Despite a turbulent year, there is strong demand for pubs to let on new free-of-tie lease agreements especially from Landlords who recognise that lease terms need to be reflective of the impact Covid-19 has had on the sector, as well as freehold investments producing a rental income.”

Sidney Phillips were inviting offers on the freehold interest.
