Since its inception in 1988, the art centre, near Calverton, Nottinghamshire, has evolved into a vibrant hub for art enthusiasts and is best known for its annual Art Festival, a four-day event that has become one of the UK’s largest outdoor art festivals. All grounds are licensed for alcohol and entertainment.
The property is opposite the Ramsdale Park Golf Centre and occupies a prominent position fronting onto Oxton Road. The village of Calverton is approximately one mile away
Victor Ktori, head of office and commercial department for Savills Nottingham, said: “This property has been family owned for nearly 40 years and carefully expanded to provide a creative sanctuary for artists of all ages and skills levels. It has become well-known for its annual Art Festival which attracts visitors from across the country and overseas.
“This truly is a cherished destination for art lovers and we expect there to be strong interest in the sale.”
Chas Wood, co-founder of Patchings Art Centre, said: “This chapter of Patchings is something we had not envisaged and wish to confirm that for the moment business continues very much as usual – making art accessible and enjoyable.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt thanks to the many artists, visitors, friends and the local community for their support over the years, and appreciate the loyal team, club members and art school students who have contributed to the success of the centre over the years. We are proud of the legacy we have created.”
